new in - shoes

it´s kind of relieving somehow to finally do another blogpost. i´ve been crazy busy with work and other stuff lately, commuting between different cities such as salzburg, vienna, prague and budapest and spending my weekends on the golf course mainly (so relaxing).

between all the craziness there was still enough time to do a little shopping (mostly online - death for my credit card) and i won´t show you everything right now (i can´t even remember what i unpacked out of different boxes delivered from zara, h&m, ebay etc. this past few weeks - not counting glossybox, that´s a standard by now.). 

 but i still have a special love this month and that´s shoes - finally ordered a pair of steve madden´s (looooove them but didn´t have a chance to wear them yet), then a pair of mint ballerinas from zara and nude ankle boots, also from zara.

i am also waiting for a pair of leo-print ballerinas from h&m, hopefully they´ll arrive this week.

what you see here is an amazing pair of high heels, instantly worn for partying.

so guys, here is what i wanted to tell you and already mentioned last post.

some of you who are following me on pinterest might have noticed i started pinning onto a new board.

i got promoted in my job two weeks ago, therefore i have to move to vienna somewhat around june.

i am super excited - about my new job, the new challenges ahead of me and for a whole new lifestyle.

also i´m so glad because my babe is coming with me - YAY 

(even if he´s joining me only 8 months later, but the main point is he´s coming)!!!!

vienna is a great city and i will have a lot more stuff to do and blog about then in little salzburg - don´t get me wrong, i love my city to death and will definitely come back sometime, but for now it´s time for a change.

so i´m busy looking for apartments in vienna, which is quite difficult handling from salzburg.

my mind is overflowing with ideas on how to style our new home (that we haven´t even found yet) and i´m thinking of a light place with natural, clean materials and and an elegant, grown-up but cosy atmosphere. getting the idea of it? here you see the products that are really important for me and that i definitely want to purchase.

i want to get a mix of glass, chrome and wood - these are materials that are perfect for mixing and also they leave room for colored, fun accessories like fresh flowers, pillows, magazines, trays, plates, candles etc....

where i get many inspirations is the everygirl, which i saw the first time on bikinis & passports (one of my favorite blogs btw).

they offer solutions on how to style coffee tables, entry ways or how to set tables for dinners with friends - among lots of other cool stuff of course.

then, the best decorating and interior design store of all times is kare - love it so much and planning on buying a lot for our apartment there. they have so many lovely things and cover so many styles, from vintage to modern to über-stylish.

also i joined the daily newsletter fab.de where they send 8 design pieces (mostly home decoration but other cool stuff as well) that you can purchase for a lower price in a certain amount of time, so i get some ideas from there too.

i will keep you guys updated on new inspirations for sure!

first of all i want to tell you i´m so sorry for the lack of posts last week, but my days were super stressfull and i didn´t really have time for anything fun at all - except a girls night out with a very good friend of mine. black and white is always a classic and if you don´t have much time to dress up, it´s a nice way of looking chic without much effort.

sushi DIY

yesterday we decided to try and make sushi on our own because we really love sushi and wanted to be creative. 

 i have to say it´s not hard to make at all and i´m really proud of the outcome:

but there are a few things you have to know when you want to do it yourself:

1. buy real sushi rice (you get that in almost every bigger supermarket, i got mine in an asian shop)

2. cook the rice - but not too long, it will get very paste-like if you do. 

general rule for rice cooking: for every cup of rice (1 per person) two cups of water, cook it until all soaks in.

3. flavor the cooked rice with salt, sugar and rice wine vinegar - try out how much you would like.

4. then don´t be impatient - wait until the rice has cooled out.

5. wet your hands entirely so that it won´t stick as much on your fingers.

6. start filling the nori (black sea stuff) with rice (not too much) and start putting your ingredients on one side - then start rolling!

7. be creative - you can fill or top sushi with almost everything as you can see on the picture above (classics are tuna, salmon, avocado, butterfish, spinage etc.)

over all, we had a really nice dinner with fresh strawberry cream and sushi and of course we couldn´t miss out on the spring rolls, which we didn´t diy btw :)

wonderful weekend again - and here is how i wore the dress from this post on saturday evening. 

i topped it with a studded leather jacket which you don´t see in the pictures, but i felt like being a true rockstar. also, i got rid of the earrings after wearing them for 5 minutes because it was just too much bling. 

in the pictures you see some wonderful friends of mine, a very good friend from vienna (you also see her in this blog), a make-up artist who is living in berlin at the moment and the blond boy is one of my roomies. of course my babe was present as well but didn´t feel like taking blog worthy pictures!

glossy march.

it´s the end of the month again and i was looking forward to the new glossy box (for those who don´t know the concept: you order a glossybox for 10 € and get a princess like box filled with 5 luxury cosmetic product samples in more or less smaller sizes. unless you don´t quit your abo, the box will be delivered at every end of the month).

this time it is wrapped in the cute light box again and i was surprised how much they put inside.

a bodylotion, tiroler nussöl, artdeco eyeshadow sample, eau thermale from avène, hairoil, moisturizer and a nail file.

unfortunately, i didn´t have time to try out any of the products yet, but am delighted with the filling.
