A blogger's life #2: Home Bound

So sieht also das Leben als Selbstständige aus – soweit man das nach einer Woche beurteilen kann. Anstatt eines geregelten Tagesablaufs und einer endlich leeren Inbox hat uns das pure Chaos erwartet – und wir hatten noch weniger Zeit, Dinge abzuarbeiten, als sonst. Ich will mich allerdings gar nicht beschweren, denn arbeitstechnisch hätte die erste Woche für uns gar nicht besser anfangen können und wir sind überglücklich über unsere Entscheidung, obwohl es sich im Moment noch irgendwie unwirklich anfühlt und ich nicht ganz glauben kann, dass ich gerade nicht im Urlaub, sondern in meinem echten Leben bin – falls das irgendwie Sinn macht.

Insta Love #15: From Where I Stand

Heute gibt's wieder mal einen "behind the scenes" Instagrambeitrag, diesmal aus der "From where I stand"-Vogelperspektive, weil's so lustig ist! Angefangen mit dem Outfit da oben, wo ich versucht habe, so Pinterest-tauglich wie möglich zu sein, indem ich einfach alles zusammengewürfelt habe, was mir auf dem schönen Moodboard grade so untergekommen ist - Streifen, Skinnies, spitze Sandalen (Zara und neu, hab's ein bissl übertrieben mit dem Schuhshopping in letzter Zeit), Leoprint und Blazer. Aber jetzt Spaß beiseite, das Outfit war perfekt für das Date mit meinem Schatz, wir sind nämlich das erste Mal zusammen ins Kabarett Simpl gegangen - ein bisschen Wienkultur erlerben. War ganz gut, aber für meinen Geschmack ein bisschen zu lang und mit einer 3-stündigen Vorstellung hätte ich ehrlich gesagt bei einem Kabarett nicht gerechnet, so verliert sogar die beste Show ein bisschen an Witz. Davon abgesehen ist es aber ganz empfehlenswert, vor allem die Atmosphäre mit den kleinen Tischen hat mir gut gefallen!

Insta Love #14: Hallo Frühling!

Ich finde ja, Instagram ist (zumindest bei mir) eine Mischung aus echtem Leben (also abseits des "Bloglebens") und total gestellten Momenten, wo extra für ein Foto ein kleines Set zusammengebaut wird, damit es möglichst gut in die Gallery passt. Ich bin da genauso, weil ich ein Mensch bin, der großen Wert auf Ästhetik legt und ich Instagram als eine Art Miniblog betrachte, den es zu kuratieren gilt. Nichts desto trotz stecken hinter den meisten Fotos doch echte Stories (es sei denn, es ist ein Foto von drei Nagellacken und Rosen, da fällt nicht mal mir etwas lustiges dazu ein) und die möchte ich euch heute erzählen.

Kennt ihr das? Ihr habt Geburtstag, alle eure Freunde und Verwandten stehen um euch herum. Vor euch ein Haufen Geschenke, mal aufwendig, mal lieblos verpackt. Ihr habt gerade die Kerzen auf eurem Kuchen ausgeblasen und jetzt warten alle darauf, dass ihre einfallsreichen Geschenke ausgepackt werden. Innerlich zittert ihr schon, denn was, wenn das Präsent nicht gefällt? Wenn ihr gute Schauspieler seit, werdet ihr die Situation schnell und mit euphorischer Miene hinter euch bringen.

Insta Love #13: Couples Edition

Das ist ja so eine Sache mit den gemeinsamen (Spiegel-)fotos und den Männern an unserer Seite. Ich kenne hier ziemlich viele verschiedene Exemplare der Gattung "Mann" und deren Einstellung zu Pärchenfotos vor und hinter dem Spiegel, habe es aber geschafft, sie im Lauf der Zeit zu kategorisieren.
Mein lieber G. ist definitiv Typ 2 (und ich bin echt froh drüber)!

welcome to barcelona, day three - montjuic

welcome to day three of my barcelona trip! after two days of rain, the weather finally took a turn to the sunny side and it got really warm - just like i imagined it to be before we got there! it was so nice to have the sun shining on your face and sitting in cafés with nothing on but a t-shirt and sunglasses (and trousers of course haha :) ). to see the city from another angle, we decided to go up to montjuic using the gondola that carries over the harbour. it was a great experience, even though we had to stand in line and wait for over an hour - but the amazing view of barcelona definitely made up for the waiting. but look and see for yourself:

welcome to barcelona, day two - parc güell

hi lovelies, so we have already reached day two of my barcelona trip. still to come: day three, the hotel where we stayed and the restaurants we visited! on our second day in barca we decided to do a hop-on hop-off tour to see the most of this city in a short amount of time. but again it was raining buckets soooo we got soaking wet all again - but at least we were already used to being wet from the day before.

and because of the rain we were not able to get off the bus until we reached sagrada famila, the famous church by gaudí which is still under construction. we didn´t enter because there was a line waiting for tickets all around the building - i guess we should have bought the tickets online! we continued by foot from there up to the parc güell, another must see (and got wet on the way up again...old news by now). parc güell is amazing but crowded with tourists (yes, i am aware that i am a tourist as well, but still :) ) so we just strolled through real quick and went shopping around the plaza catalunya.

welcome to barcelona, day one - mercat de santa caterina

it was around lunchtime when we arrived at the airport in barcelona last thursday, the sun was shining and it was warm - what a good start. but just when we left our hotel after check-in, it started raining cats and dogs. so we hurried up to meet my aunt and uncle who were already waiting for us at the amazing mercat de santa caterina - but we got soaking wet anyways (mainly because i was certain that rain in spain couldn´t last longer than 5 minutes and persuaded the others that we didn´t need an umbrella at all...that didn´t go very well!). and since the weather really wasn´t nice at all, we spent the entire first afternoon at a lovely tapas bar inside the market hall, tasting through the different kinds of tapas, cavas and wines, watching all the people around us buying fresh fish, meat and vegetables. here are some impressions of the mercat de santa caterina:
